Stroll
to Dunstanburgh Castle on the Northumberland Coast
Visit Alnwick Castle and its Alnwick Garden
Explore all the Northumberland Heritage Coast
Enjoy many activities, such as walking, cycling,
bird-watching and golf
The Park is ideally situated as a base for your
holiday home, whether it is for a week or just a
couple of days. To the north you can find Newton,
Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne (Holy
Island) and Berwick upon Tweed; inland you can visit
Alnwick, Rothbury and Wooler.

Take advantage of the footpaths that lead you to
Dunstanburgh Castle - a wonderful walk, hardly
touching on the roadway at all. Enjoy the peace and
quiet of the heughs, the bracing breeze along the
shoreline or best of all, nestled up in a sand dune
with a picnic basket and the one you love!! Walking
further takes you to the harbour village of Craster
(location for ITV's 'Distant Shores') where you can
sample the famous Craster Kippers.
Our particular part of Northumberland, known as the
Heritage Coast or the Secret Kingdom, is renowned
for its numerous castles, excellent beaches and
diverse picturesque scenery.
The Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden are a 10
minute drive away and with the cascading water
features, are well worth a visit. The Treehouse is
now open too!
Our wonderful coastline offers endless opportunities
for guests who are keen walkers. We have a small
supply of maps and books that are available for use
and we are happy to suggest routes. Should you
happen to get wet, we can dry you out! |
